Wine

Otium’s vines were first planted in 2007 and our tasting room opened in April of 2012. The winery’s unique interior is what makes the wines so high in quality. The soil, moderate elevations, excellent drainage, and temperate climate are all well suited to produce intense, complex wines. At Otium, our winemaking philosophy is simple: A premium wine is made through year-round holistic efforts in the vineyard, long before it even arrives at the cellar!

Reservations

Reservations are requested for groups of 6 or more especially for indoor seating. Please call the tasting room to inquire about a reservation (540) 338-2027 or visit our >> reservations page. All reservations are handled through our Tock website. 

Outside Food and Beverages

Outside food is permitted outdoors and in our Tasting Room. Many of our guests love bringing a picnic lunch to enjoy on the property! No outside food is permitted in the Wine Store.

Under no circumstance are guests permitted to consume any other wine, beer, or alcohol while on Otium Cellars property. This is a zero-tolerance policy; outside alcohol will be confiscated, and guests will be asked to leave the premises.

Wine Store
The Wine Store is our main enterance with stairs leading to the Loft. Four conversation tables are separated by handmade shelves with store items from local artisans and businesses. Our roaring firebox creates a warm and cozy environment in a barnlike oasis. You may even be greeted by the resident barn cats! All Wine Store tables are available to reserve through Tock. 

The Loft
The Loft is a secluded space surrounded by views of Otium's Estate. Oversized couches and windows take over this small loft and create a panoramic clubhouse effect. Perfect for a small group of friends or couples to sip and stay a while. There is also another cozy corner with chairs, perfect for an intimate evening. This space is not available to be reserved without calling the winery.

Tasting Room
The Tasting Room invites you in with a brick laid bar and fireplace. Barrel tables, leather couches, and assorted wood colors create a warm and welcoming environment; perfect for hosting your favorite people. Make your reservation today on Tock!

Belvedere

This space is reserved for our guests who are 21+ The Belvedere is the perfect room to sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy the picturesque scenery around Otium Cellars. The room is enclosed by glass windows all around, allowing for immense natural light and beautiful views of the vast rolling hills and vineyards located on the property. There is lounge and table seating available inside for small and large groups alike. The Belvedere is not air conditioned andis heated by fireplace. Make your reservation on Tock today!

Outdoor Seating

Guests may bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for use outdoors. All outdoor space is pet friendly.

Terrace 
Relax in an Adirondack chair, grab a table or sit by a fire pit on our expansive and relaxing terrace.  

Fire Pits: Fire Pits are available weather permitting and are first come first serve. 

Pasture
Bring a blanket and relax on our beautiful grounds. Visitors: No reservations are required for our spacious pasture seating for parties under 10 people. Reservations are required for larger groups of 10 or more. 

Guests may bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for the Pasture seating.
